人情 Human Feelings
Does the quiet beauty by the fence attract the swallow to come and nest under the eaves?
In the leisurely summertime, I never paid attention to it.
When a chilly wind arose overnight,
I suddenly noticed that
The swallow above the doorstep has disappeared.
Looking up at the old nest under the eaves,
How will I put the memory fragments together and edit them?
Perhaps the eaves of my house are too low to be your host;
You are surely suffering,
You who want to see far and fly high, and are also arrogant and willful.
Wishing you to fly into the lofty bell tower
Next Spring when you revisit here.
Sincerely, I have a wishful plea:
Should you ever have the chance once more
To fly over this low, shabby, and old house of mine,
Please don’t forget, my friend!
Stop by my window; leave me some twittering soft sounds.
Let me, too, hear you – the message of another spring.
What made the swallow come and nest under the eaves of my house?
Why did I never pay attention to it?
Now it’s really gone without a trace.
Where should I go to look for these misty and regretful memories!
