《美洲明月光 / Moon Light on America Continent》
（倣李白<靜夜思> 韻作【註】）

星熒

（加州退休）
孤叟洋便裝，獨吟費思量。
美西又明月，何苦念長江？

（中華台北）
燕京陷紅光，金陵無廟堂。
復辟舊統制，民主夢一塲！

（追尋理想）
平安求無恙，自由追理想。
蜀地渡童年，寶島衛海疆。

（人生歸途）
戰亂伴成長，歸途難一樣。
半生美洲夢，萬里思故鄉！

(California Retirement)
Being an elderly lone-man myself, wearing western casual clothes,
I am humming my own poems alone in thoughts that seem far away.
Seeing the bright moon shinning again on the western coast of the America Continent,
why should I still think of the Yangtze River?

(The Chinese Taipei)
Yanjing has fallen into the hands of the Reds and
Jingling is no longer the capital of the nation.
There is the renewal of the old totalitarian system again.
To the people of the land, Democracy is just like a dream!

(Tracking Down the Ideal)
It's a blessing to have both peace and health now (here in States) since
I’ve pursued my own freedom, the ultimate goal, through my whole life.
I spent my childhood in Sichuan, China during World War II, and
later safeguarded the Formosa Island on the sea in my youthful years..

(Living through the Homing Road)
Growing up in a time of wars, I can hardly expect to share the same living ideology as that of the younger generations.
More than half of my life time, I dreamed of the America Continent,
a land of freedom for all.
Being thousands of miles away, now, I am thinking of my native homeland!
